Board of Directors

The District has a five member Board of Directors elected from five different divisions throughout the District. Directors are required to reside within their individual division. Information on the Division boundaries are available at the District office.

Board President

Jeffrey Tienken joined the board in September of 2005 representing Division 2. President Tienken is a General Engineering Contractor, as well as a Farm Management Company owner and Citrus Farmer. He is also a 2nd generation farmer and his family has resided in the District since 1978. President Tienken has served as President since November 2008, and is also the District’s representative at ACWA along with representing the District as a Director of the Friant Power Authority. President Tienken is also an alternate director for Friant Water Authority and East Kaweah Groundwater Sustainability Agency.

 

Board Vice President

Dennis Imoto joined the board in February of 1998 representing Division 1.  Director Imoto is a buyer at Fruit Growers Supply along with being a 3rd generation farmer since 1977 and his family has resided in the District since 1915.  Director Imoto has served as Vice-President since July 2006, and is and alternate director for the Friant Water Authority.

 

 

Directors

Mike George joined the board in February of 2018 (after previously serving on the LSID Board during the late 1990s and early 2000s) representing Division 3. Director George is Farming Adviser at Sun Pacific Farming Company, along with being a 3rd generation SJV farmer (Grandparents moved to SJV in 1934, after going broke farming cotton on the High Plains of Texas during the Dust Bowl years) and his family has resided in the District since September 1997. Director George is the District’s representative on the East Kaweah Groundwater Sustainability Agency and is an alternate director for Friant Water Authority.

 

Starr Warson joined the board in June of 2018 representing Division 4.  Director Warson is an attorney along with being a 3rd generation farmer.  His family has resided in the District since 1908.  Director Warson’s grandfather served on the Board from 1934-1959, served as President from 1953-1959 and was instrumental in the settlement of the landmark water rights case Tulare Irrigation District, et al. v. Lindsay Strathmore Irrigation District and formation of the Central Valley Project.  Director Warson is the District’s representative on the Eastside Power Authority and is an alternate director for Friant Water Authority.

 

Clifford Loeffler joined the board in March of 2015 representing Division 5. Director Loeffler is a multi-generation farmer (2nd generation in the Valley) and his family has resided in the District since 1989.  Director Loeffler is the District’s representative on the Friant Water Authority Board of Directors where he currently serves as the Treasurer.

 

 

 

The Board of Directors meet in the office of District on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m.
